A poetic park table & bench inspired from nature

Déjeuner Sur l’Ombre (Lunch Under the Shade) questions the notion of paradise incarnated in urban gardens and parks, as fragments of an artificial and recreated paradise. The furniture offers an aesthetic alternative to the intrusion of the artificial into natural order: based on the shadows projected by trees and in turn Déjeuner Sur l’Ombre casts its own shadow. Déjeuner Sur l’Ombre is a platform on which to live or relax – a territory to appropriate – alone or with others. Its large surface-area invites people to sit down, lie or get together to picnic or talk.
