Soap dispenser for public Fountains
Hand hygiene within everyone’s reach
Hand washing is an essential act of hygiene to fight against any epidemic, this crisis of Covid19 reminded us. The «city of Paris» and «water of Paris» wanted to give the possibility to the Parisians to wash their hands at the level of the public fountains. The CLEF designers’ collective seized the subject and proposed a soap dispenser that fits on all Parisian fountains. As soon as it was put into service in several parks, users, adults and children alike immediately embraced the idea and used it spontaneously. The system is adaptable on all models of fountains, and can
be customized to your image.
Designers Team CLEF
CLEF is the collective of 4 artists and designers composed of Jean Couvreur, Grégory Lacoua, Ariane Epstein and Julien Fieulaine. The designer collective CLEF was born during the period of confinement, of the common will to bring new
services to the city of tomorrow. The four designers met on the ENSCI benches. They collectively question
on the adaptation of barrier gestures in the public space after COVID. They imagine an impacting, useful and
light to wash hands, using water fountains already present to drink in the city.
